PHS Students Honor Local Veterans

Pleasantville High School continued its annual tradition of honoring veterans from the community this past Tuesday.

According to a blog post by the school district, PHS hosted a breakfast for the group, where Principal Daniel McCann welcomed the veterans and members of Camerata sang The Star Spangled Banner.

According to the post, a black and gold banner hangs in the high school auditorium with the number 31—representing the number of alumni who have died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
