A Pleasantville motorist suffered an eye injury when a car
traveling in the opposite direction on Broadway drifted across the center line,
sideswiped him and fled, police report.
The injured driver was headed south near Otsego Road around 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Oct. 3. That’s when a northbound car, described only as a dark sedan, crossed into the southbound lane and hit the man’s Honda Accord, police said. The impact shattered the driver’s side mirror, hurling glass and other debris into the car.
The 62-year-old man was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco where he was treated for his eye injury. Police searched the area, looking for a vehicle showing expected signs of damage, but to no avail.
