Pleasantville Police Blotter: Car Drives Off with Boots; Teen Assault Arrest

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from Jan. 2 — 8, 2012:

Saturday, Jan. 7

8:44 p.m. — Police arrested a 17-year-old Bronx resident for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old village youth behind the Manville Road Shell gas station. The male suspect was charged with Assault in the Third Degree.

7:20 p.m. — A Dogwood Lane resident reported a burning smell coming from his basement. The was dispatched to the scene via Westchester County Fire Control.

Friday, Jan. 6

2:44 a.m. — A man came into police headquarters to report property damage. He stated a car had been legally booted while parked in the ' parking lot. He stated the car's driver left the lot without removing the boots, which fell off the wheels in the process. He stated the damage caused to the boots and the parking fee totals approximately $189.79. Police took photographs of the damaged boots and filed a report.

Thursday, Jan. 5

6:10 p.m. — Police were notified an an alleged assault on Hobby Street. The report was referred to the Mount Pleasant Police Department.

Wednesday, Jan. 4

2:21 p.m. — Police filed a report of a motor vehicle accident in front of on Wheeler Avenue.

11:05 a.m. — A 40-year-old Thornwood woman turned herself in on an arrest warrant. She was charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the First Degree. She is accused of attempting to use forged U.S. currency in the village. The woman on Tuesday.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

5:04 p.m. — A larceny in the past was reported at on Bedford Road. Read more .

Monday, Jan. 2

9:24 p.m. — Police received a complaint about noise at a Pleasantville Road address. Responding officers determined the noise was caused by a carpet cleaning.
