A Pleasantville man is due in village court today after he allegedly waved a knife at a stranger yesterday night.

According to police, an Ossining man went into headquarters at 9:41 p.m. Monday and said a man had approached him with a knife in the Wheeler Avenue pocket park.

The complainant provided a description of the man with the knife and police responded to the area. A police officer reported seeing a man matching the description in front of the Wheeler Avenue pharmacy and the complainant confirmed the identification.

The 43-year-old Pleasantville resident was arrested and taken to police headquarters. He has been charged with Menacing in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor, and is due to appear in court this evening.

Police said no one was injured and no property was exchanged during the confrontation.
