Sandy Hook FD to Join Annual Pleasantville Parade
Among the more than 25 volunteer fire departments that will be marching in Pleasantville on Friday, May 31, is the Sandy Hook (CT) Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company.
"We invite all of our residents to turn out and honor these courageous first responders who endured an unspeakable tragedy last December," Parade Chairman Robert J. Murphy, said in a statement.
The annual Pleasantville Firefighters' Parade begins at 7 p.m., beginning at the Mount Pleasant Public Library. The parade then continues through Memorial Plaza to Manville Road, Grove Street and Edgewood Avenue.
The procession of community volunteers and apparatus will end at the Washington Avenue firehouse.
