Cleared: Saw Mill Overpass Accident in Pleasantville

The early morning accident is not yet cleared at Manville and Bedford Roads.

Update, 11:42 a.m. — As of 11:35 a.m., emergency vehicles left the scene of the accident and a few minutes later, the northbound lanes were reopened.

Northbound Saw Mill River Parkway traffic continues to be funneled into Pleasantville as Westchester County Police and New York State Department of Transportation workers clear the scene of an overpass accident.

According to the New York State DOT, the accident occurred between exits 28 (Bedford Road) and 29 (Manville Road) at approximately 6 a.m. this morning.

As of 11 a.m., the truck is no longer at the scene, but crews continue to clear the accident's debris and the road remains closed.

LoHud.com reports the truck involved in the accident was carrying frozen steaks.

There is also a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation spill response vehicle at the scene.
