A Tarrytown man faces an Aggravated DWI charge after he reportedly drove with a BAC more than three times the legal limit in Briarcliff Manor, according to police.
An officer responded to the Scarborough Road area to investigate a suspicious incident at approximately 1:24 a.m. on Saturday and began following a 1998 Mitsubishi that was observed crossing the road's double yellow line, police said.
Department records indicate that the vehicle stayed in the opposite lane for more than 2,000 feet before the officer pulled over the vehicle on Becker Lane.
The driver, Carlos Pacheco, was arrested at the scene. He submitted to a chemical test which showed his BAC at .27, more than three times the legal limit of .08, police said.
The 33-year-old was processed at police headquarters and later released on $300 cash bail. He is due in village court on February 13.
