Where/When:  Ann and Alfred Goldstein Health, Fitness and Recreation Center from Friday, April 20 at 4 p.m. to Saturday, April 21 at 4 a.m.

Why go: Walk for a cure for cancer at the annual 12-hour relay at Pace University Friday. There are tons of ways to get involved, even if it doesn't mean staying for the full 12 hours. The carnival-themed affair will have activities for the whole family. Read more .

Pleasantville FD Pancake Breakfast/Open House

Where/When: on Saturday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why go: The Fire Department is hosting a communty breakfast from 9 a.m. until noon and kicking off its open house at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Check out what the village's volunteers do when the fire horn blows. T-shirts reading "I Support the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department" will be available for $10. Profits from the day will benefit the Firefighters Burn Center and volunteer fire departments in Schoharie County in upstate New York, an area devastated by Irene in August.

Pricing: $7 adults for breakfast; $3 kids five and under

Where/When:  on Saturday, April 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Why go: If you can't get enough of Antiques Roadshow or have some antique jewelry, art, furniture or other items around the house, now's the time to get a professional appraisal. All proceeds from the event will benefit non-profit organization Hudson Chorale.

Pricing: $25 for the first item, $5 for each additional (maximum of three)

Where/When: on Saturday, April 21 at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why go: PleasantvilleRecycles is sponsoring a day when residents can bring their used athletic equipment from any sports to be recycled. Bikes and bike parts will also be accepted. Once the items are collected, they will be available for pickup on Pleasantville Day—May 19.

Where/When: on Friday, April 20 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Why go: The Briarcliff Manor Education Foundation (BMEF) is hosting its annual spring fundraiser on Friday. Join other district parents for a night of food, drink and dance! RSVP online here.

Where/When:  on Sunday, April 22 at 3:30 p.m.

Why go: Guest Dr. Lewis Resnick, a Holocaust survivor and author of A Boy's Holocaust will be speaking at this special service.

Why go: Briarcliff Manor/Pocantico Girl Scout Cadet Troop 2290 will be selling cookies at the grocery story Sunday afternoon. On Monday, Junior Troop 2408 will be at in Briarcliff Manor, Pocket Park in Briarcliff Manor and Key Food Marketplace in Pleasantville from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. Don't miss out!
