More Con Edison Repairs Coming in Mount Pleasant

Supervisor Joan Maybury said crews are looking to improve the electrical system in the village.

Following what Town of Mount Pleasant Supervisor Joan Maybury said earlier this week was a countywide critique of Con Edison's response during Hurricane Sandy, improvements may be on the way.

In a community announcement on Wednesday, Maybury stated, "Con Edison is making an attempt to communicate with the Towns and Villages of Westchester more effectively."

According to Maybury, "We have just received notification that crews will be working on improving part of their electrical system since the damage done by Sandy."

Effective through the weekend, residents can expect to see some Con Edison vehicles and workers in the following areas: Stillman Lane, Old Sleepy Hollow Road, Woodland Drive, Choate Road and Locust Road.

There may be short power outages while the work takes place, Maybury said.
