Dear Parents,
I want to bring to your attention that Wednesday, September 5th, the first day of school for Kindergarten through Grade 9th students, will be a half-day for all three schools of the District:
- At the High School, Grade 9 students will attend their Freshman Orientation until 11:20 a.m. (Grades 10 through 12 do not attend school until the following day.)
- At the Middle School, students will attend their classes until 11:20 a.m.
- Dismissal at Todd Elementary School will be at 12:00 noon for all students except kindergarten.
- The Kindergarten Transition Session will be held from 9:30 - 10:30. Bussing will not be available for this event. Complete details will be provided through a separate e-mail to kindergarten parents.
Our teachers and administrators will devote the afternoon to working on needed items for the new APPR evaluation plan, as required by the State. This early notice is to give you time to make arrangements for the care of your children for that afternoon.
