Sun Shines Down on Briarcliff SoccerFest

The following is from the Briarcliff Youth Soccer Club:

Briarcliff held its 3rd annual SoccerFest Celebration on June 8.

Tom Richer, BYSC SoccerFest Founder and AYSO Regional Commissioner commented, “It was a great day of fun for the Briarcliff community. We raised over $2,000 for our AYSO program and we are thankful for the continued great support. Despite the severe rain the night before, the sun broke through and allowed us to have a terrific day. We are also thankful for the support of our BYSC affiliated partners and vendors OnTrack Sport, Rainwater Grill, Perfect Touch Soccer Academy and the NY Red Bulls.”

Richer will be handing over the reigns as Commissioner on July 1 to Eric Zielinski, the current AYSO Regional Registrar.

Richer commented, "My three year term went by very fast and we accomplished a great deal of transformative change. It was a privilege to serve and I am happy about how we were able to move the dial and accomplish our goals. Eric will be a great Commissioner and the community will enjoy the continued enhancement of the BYSC programs."

Commissioner-Elect Zielinski said, "Thankfully the sun came out and shone on this great event celebrating all our youth soccer players, coaches and volunteers!"
