Pleasantville Sex Assault Case Heads to County

The village resident was reportedly on the run for almost two years.

The case of the 30-year-old Pleasantville man who police believe fled the village after sexually assaulting a woman in August of 2011 has been waived by the local courts to a Westchester County Grand Jury, prosecutors said June 25.

Oswaldo J. Jacinto-Ordonez was arrested on May 22 after Rhode Island officials took him into custody on an immigration hold.

Pleasantville Village Court marked the Sexual Abuse in the First Degree charge off its calendar June 25.

Westchester County Jail records show Jacinto-Ordonez remains incarcerated without bail and faces a number of charges at the county level, including two counts of Strangulation in the Second Degree, one count of Attempted Rape, Assault in the Second Degree and Forcible Touching.
