Memorial Day in Briarcliff, Pleasantville

Both villages will be having Memorial Day parades on Monday, May 27.

The villages of Briarcliff Manor and Pleasantville will be heading outdoors on Monday to pay tribute to the men and women who have died serving the United States.

Pleasantville will have two ceremony, with a parade in between, beginning at 10 a.m. at Bedford Road School. Get the full details here.

Briarcliff Manor's parade begins at 12 p.m. at the intersection of Pleasantville and Poplar Roads. The parade travels down Pleasantville Road and ends at Law Memorial Park. The parade will be followed by a ceremony at the park's Veterans' Monument.

Briarcliff Manor's parade will be preceded by the annual Briarcliff Has Heart 5K/2 Mile Walk, that kicks of at 8:30 a.m. Get to the library by 7:30 a.m. for day-of registration. This is a chip-timed race. Proceeds benefit the Briarcliff Manor Public Library.

Cost: $20 for two-mile walk (ages 12 and under); $30 for two-mile walk (ages 13 and up); $15 5K run (ages 12 and under); $30 for 5K run (ages 13 and up)
