Pleasantville Resident Completes Army Leadership Course

The Bucknell University student is on his way to entering the U.S. Army.

Pleasantville's Zachary Colangelo was again recognized for his top physical fitness test score at a recent Reserve Officers Training Corps graduation at Joint Base Lewis-McCord in Washington.

According to a press release from the the U.S. Army Cadet Command, "The ceremony capped off 29 days of leadership-infused training designed to develop each Cadet’s leadership abilities through a sequentially organized training schedule that incorporated the basic necessary skills to become an effective military leader."

Last month, Colangelo received the highest male cadet score in the fitness test.

The statement explained, "The leadership course is one of the final steps for Cadets prior to completing the ROTC program and entering the Army as commissioned officers."
