Pleasantville Police Blotter: Bike Stolen from HS Campus

The following information is from the police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Pleasantville Police Department from May 27 — June 2, 2013:

Saturday, June 1

3:16 p.m. — A Valhalla resident went into police headquarters and reported finding a note on the windshield of his car that was parked on Broadway. The man said the note read, "Sorry I backed into your car. Please call me." The man said no one answered at the phone number provided. An accident report was filed.

10:12 a.m. — Police received a phone call from a Con Edison supervisor, who reported a damaged utility pole would need to be replaced on Lake Street. The supervisor requested the assistance of the Water/Sewer Department to determine where excavation could take place.

Wednesday, May 29

3:28 p.m. — A resident went into police headquarters and reported his bicycle, worth approximately $200, was stolen on May 23 from the Pleasantville High School parking lot. He told police that on that day, he went to school at 7:45 a.m. and a friend then borrowed the bike with permission between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. before returning it to the lot. He stated his friend forgot to lock the bike back up and the next day he was unable to locate it.

Tuesday, May 28

4:50 p.m. — A Church Street resident reported to police that her vehicle was broken into while it was parked in the Marmaduke Forster House parking lot sometime since 9 a.m. She noted the front passenger side window was broken, but nothing appeared to be missing or out of place.
